Wine from Sardinia is unique, just like the island itself. Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean (270 km long, 130 km wide), 180 km away from the Italian mainland. However, it is closest to France, only 15 km from the coast of French Corsica. The surface of the Sardine is mostly hilly, very diverse and varied. Sardinia can also rightly be proud of its natural wealth (the most beautiful azure beaches, the largest canyon in Europe hidden in the golden mountains of Supramote. 

Wine history here dates back to 3000 BC. There are a lot of autochthonous varieties. The most cultivated variety is the red Cannonau, the fraternal variety of the world-wide Grenache. Cannonau Classico DOC is developing its enormous potential in the mountainous region of Barbagia, in the Middle East of the island, in the Province of Nuoro. The most breathtaking Cannonau and the oldest vineyards (more than a century old) come from the wine village of Mamoiada. In second place in cultivation is the white variety Vermentino, which thrives most in the North, Vermentino DOCG di Gallura.

 Characteristic features of Sardinian wines are characterized by a full extract of ripe grapes, a wide range of herbal and ground tones with elegant minerality at the end. According to world studies, Cannonau from Sardinia is considered the healthiest wine in the world. It contains up to half more healthy substances for the cardiovascular system; natural antioxidants, polyphenol and resveratrol than other wines :-)

Vína z vinařství Dorgali se vyznačují pestrou vůní bylinných tónů, mineralitou a sametovým závěrem.

Cantina Dorgali je vinařský spolek ze středozápadu ostrova, založený r 1953 skupinkou malých vinařů.  Rozléhá se v hornaté oblasti, nedaleko skalnatých útesů. Ideální kombinace středomořského vánku a bohatého minerálního podloží svědčí o specifické kvalitě vína. Vína jsou plná, haromonická s pestrou škálou bylinných tónů a příjemné minerality v závěru. Skvělý poměr kvalita vs cena, vinařský spolek má nižší náklady na výrobu.

Family winery from the heart of Sardinia, Mamoiada, natural wines with authentic terrior, vineyards 750m above sea level 


traditional processing of grapes, spontaneous fermentation on own yeasts, maturation on barrels and fine-tuning on cement tanks.

The first winery in Mamoiada to start bottling. Today they exports wine to the world. The winery was founded 30 years ago by Giuseppe Sedilesu and his three sons. They manage 15 hectares of vineyards with sustainable BIO production. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 650 m above sea level, protected by the Supramonte e Gennargentu mountains. The subsoil is of sandy-granular origin, rich in potassium and phosphorus. The flagship of Cantina Sediles is Mamuthone, produced by the traditional method of spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels followed by maturation in oak barrels. The winery boasts more than a century of vineyards, from which Riserva produces Ball Tunda. The small production of the white autochthonous variety Granazza is also worth noting. The orange wine maturing on the skins is excellent!
